Once again Clayton Beddoes, 42 years canadian from Bentley (Alberta), will be the coach of the Hafro Cortina team for the next 2013/2014 season. The decision arrived in these last days, after a short negotiation.
«We have very much appreciated Beddoes’ work with Hafro Cortina during this just finished Championship», affirmed the managers of the Cortina team, «and therefore we offered him the chance to stay with us for the next season, in order to carry on the project started one year ago. On his side, Beddoes was satisfied with his experience in the Italian Championship, with Cortina and its team. So we have reached an agreement and it is set: Beddoes will be the head coach of the Hafro Cortina team for the coming season».
Thanks to the players’ hard work and commitment, Beddoes has been able to turn upside down the result of a Championship started slowly and hit the target of the play off and then passed the quarter final, after winning seven intense matches against the Renon of coach Wilson, which was first at the end of the regular season. It’s the first time in the Italian Championship that the 8th team beats the 1st and this gave strenght to Cortina. Finally, the Valpellice stopped the entusiastic run to the semifinals of the Hafro Cortina team, which was beated with honor.
«Once the rules the next Championship are fixed», comments the Sportivi Ghiaccio managment, «we will set up the roster. In the next weeks the club will be facing the fundamental task of increasing its capital, hopefully involving the whole town and local community. More details will follow».
